Views let you save and reuse a specific Management table setup.
A view can help you return quickly to a set of macros without rebuilding the same filters, sorting, and table configuration each time.
Predefined views
Macros Management includes predefined views for common review and cleanup tasks.
Depending on the current product configuration, predefined views can help you find groups such as:
- unused macros;
- inactive macros;
- deleted macros;
- recently changed macros;
- other macros that may need review.
Select a predefined view to apply its saved criteria to the Management table.
Before applying changes, review the active filters and confirm that the results match the purpose of the selected view.
Create a custom view
Create a custom view when you want to save your own combination of filters and table settings.
To create a custom view:
- Open Management.
- Apply the required search criteria and filters.
- Configure the visible columns and sorting.
- Open the views control.
- Choose the option to save the current setup.
- Enter a clear name for the view.
- Save the view.
Use names that describe the intended task, such as:
- Active macros not used in 30 days
- Billing macros requiring review
- Deleted macros from the last quarter
- Macros restricted to the Support group
- Cleanup candidates
Open a saved view
To open a saved view:
- Open the views control in Management.
- Select the required custom or predefined view.
- Review the applied filters and table results.
The Management table updates to match the saved configuration.
What a custom view can preserve
A custom view can preserve the supported parts of the current table configuration, such as:
- search criteria;
- filters;
- sorting;
- visible columns;
- column order;
- other supported table settings.
Review the table after opening a view, especially if the underlying macro data has changed since the view was created.
A view saves the criteria used to find macros. It does not save a fixed copy of the matching macros.
For example, a view for macros not used in the last 30 days can show different results over time as usage data changes.
Delete a view
Delete views that are no longer needed.
To delete a view:
- Open the views control.
- Hover the view you want to delete.
- Click the trash icon.
Deleting a view does not delete or modify any macros.
Use views safely with bulk operations
A view can contain a large number of matching macros, including macros spread across multiple pages.
Before using a bulk action from a saved view:
- Confirm which view is active.
- Review the applied filters.
- Check the number of matching and selected macros.
- Confirm that every selected macro should receive the same change.
- Review the available preview before applying the operation.
Do not assume that a saved view contains the same macros every time it is opened. The results can change as macro status, usage, labels, and other data change.
